EMPTY
BOWLS
Overview
Empty Bowls is a community-wide event held across all three counties we serve, with each county hosting its own unique experience.

At Wittenberg University, the Empty Bowls event is presented as an all-you-can-eat buffet, featuring a variety of soups and other food items generously provided by local Clark County restaurants. Beautiful, hand-crafted ceramic bowls are donated by Springfield High School art students, as well as Wittenberg University ceramic students, staff, faculty, and community members.

In Urbana, Empty Bowls takes on a “soup crawl” format. Similar to a bar crawl, attendees begin at a designated “home base” restaurant where they purchase their bowl and enjoy their first soup, then stroll to additional participating locations for more tastings.

Due to the success of the Urbana soup crawl and growing community demand, the Logan County Empty Bowls event will follow this same soup crawl model.
